Description
WARNING: This product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical.
Twenty slim, moist pouches per can. No tobacco leaf, no spitting, no smoke.
KNIC pouches are built on a short ingredient list and a single structural filler. Below is the full breakdown of what goes into each one and why — including the parts most brands don’t itemize.
What’s In a KNIC Pouch
Nicotine — 4mg, 8mg, or 15mg, salt-based
Nicotine salt derived from the tobacco plant. The pouch itself contains no tobacco leaf.
Salt-based nicotine is smoother in the mouth than freebase nicotine at equivalent
strength.
pH Balancer — sodium bicarbonate, under 1%
Every nicotine pouch needs a pH adjuster. Nicotine absorbs through the gum tissue
faster in an alkaline environment, so the pH of a pouch determines how quickly and how
strongly you feel it.
There is more than one way to do this, and the choice changes the product.
Sodium bicarbonate is a buffer. Baking soda, chemically speaking. A buffer resists
change — it establishes a pH and holds it there as the pouch works. Sodium carbonate,
or soda ash, is a strong base. It drives pH substantially higher and does not buffer in
the same range, so pH can run high early and drift as the pouch depletes.
Two things follow from choosing the buffer:
Steady release instead of a front-loaded spike. Because the pH stays in a narrow
band, nicotine releases at a more even rate across the full thirty minutes rather than
arriving mostly in the first few.
Flavor you can actually taste. Strong alkalinity carries a soapy, salty note of its own that
competes with everything else in the pouch. Keeping pH moderate is why our extractbased flavors read clearly at under 1% stevia, instead of needing heavy sweetening to
cover the base.
We publish this because pH is one of the least discussed and most consequential
variables in a nicotine pouch, and because you should be able to compare it across the
brands you’re considering. Most won’t tell you.
Structural Filler — microcrystalline cellulose, under 5%
Microcrystalline cellulose is a fine, uniform, plant-derived powder — the same
pharmaceutical-grade excipient used in tablet manufacturing. It gives the pouch its body
and keeps the fill consistent from can to can.
It is the only filler in a KNIC pouch. No blends, no substitutions, no seasonal sourcing
changes. Under 5% of total content.
Flavor — natural extract-based
Extract-based natural flavors. Sugar-free and calorie-free.
Sweetener — stevia extract, under 1%
Stevia leaf extract. No sugar alcohols. Xylitol, sorbitol, and maltitol are common
sweeteners in this category and are well documented as causes of bloating and digestive
discomfort in some people. KNIC contains none of them.
Stabilizer — distilled water and propylparaben, under 2%
Keeps moisture consistent from the first pouch in a can to the last. Propylparaben is a
preservative, present at under 2%.
Flavor Catalyst — propylene glycol, under 0.05%
Carries flavor compounds evenly through the fill. Present in trace amount.
The Pouch — heat-sealed natural cotton fiber
The pouch material itself is cotton fiber, heat-sealed. Much of the category uses
nonwoven synthetic polymer.
Choosing Your Strength
4mg
The starting point. Right for anyone new to pouches, and for people stepping down from
a higher strength. Also the most common choice for use throughout a workday.
8mg
The middle of the range. Most people coming from cigarettes or from another pouch
brand’s mid-tier land here.
15mg
Our strongest. Intended for experienced users with established tolerance. Not a starting
point.
A note on comparing strengths across brands. The milligram figure on a can tells you
how much nicotine is in the pouch — not how much of it you’ll absorb. Absorption
depends on pH, moisture, pouch material, and how long you keep it in. An 8mg pouch
from two different brands can feel quite different. If you’re switching to KNIC, start one
step below the strength you’re used to and adjust from there.
Flavors
Fourteen flavors across four families.
Mint Cool Mint · Peppermint · Spearmint · Wintergreen
Fruit Grape · Green Apple · Cherry · Peach · Strawberry · Tropical Fruit · Raspberry
Lemonade
Warm Coffee · Cinnamon
Unflavored Smooth — no added flavor. For anyone who wants nicotine without a taste
profile, or who finds mint irritating.

How to Use
1. Place one pouch between your upper lip and gum.
2. Leave it in for up to 30 minutes. Most of the nicotine releases in the first 10 to 15.
3. Remove and dispose. Nothing to spit.
Rotate placement. Moving the pouch to a different spot each time — left, right, front —
is standard practice among regular users and reduces prolonged contact with any single
area of tissue.
FAQ
Are KNIC pouches tobacco-free?
The pouch contains no tobacco leaf. The nicotine is
derived from the tobacco plant.
What’s the pH of a KNIC pouch?
KNIC uses sodium bicarbonate as its pH balancer at
under 1% of total content. We’re in the process of publishing third-party lab results with
measured pH values.
Do KNIC pouches contain sugar alcohols?
No. The sweetener is stevia extract at under
1%. There is no xylitol, sorbitol, or maltitol.
Are the pouches vegan?
The filler is plant-derived microcrystalline cellulose and the
pouch is cotton fiber. The full ingredient list is published on our ingredients page.
How many pouches are in a can?
Twenty.
How long does a pouch last?
Up to 30 minutes, with most of the nicotine releasing in
the first 10 to 15.
Which strength should I start with?
4mg if you’re new to pouches. If you’re switching
from another brand, start one step below your usual strength — milligram figures are not
directly comparable across brands.
Is KNIC the same company as K Tropix?
KNIC is a K Tropix brand.
WARNING: This product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical.
For adults 21 and over. Not for sale to minors. Not for use by anyone who is pregnant or
